I am using TOG. I am just starting my 14 yo 9th grade ds on some rhetoric literature and history.very slowly. He hates writing. I just had him read (actually, I had him listen to the cd of) To Kill a Mockingbird. TWTM recommends Writing Strands for book reports, but I think he would struggle with starting there. Would you give me some quidelines or suggestions for what to have him put in a book report.
Something concrete that I could tell him and he could follow. My english teacher assigned everyone in my class to do a book report on a book of their choice. Any suggestions. The Lightning Thief Summary I really enjoy how the author explainedthings it was very descriptive and had great figurative language which you have saw a few examples of it in the earlier slide.
Criticism The lightning thief is about young boy named Percy Jackson that is about to be kicked out of boarding school. Also on top of that he learns he is the son of Poseidon and the main suspect for stealing Zues lightning bolt.
